Frank Sells Baptism

In Matthew chapter 3, verses 13 – 17, we can read about the baptism of Jesus as He begins His public ministry. John the Baptist was calling people to “repent and be baptized”, and he was baptizing people in droves down at the river. Jesus comes along and willfully identifies with our sinful nature by setting the example and being baptized His self. If we make the decision to follow Jesus, as Christians we are called to follow this example of being baptized ourselves. He identified with us, and in turn, publically, we identify with Him.

On this day, January 31st 2021, Frank’s 57th birthday, Frank declared

1st – He believes in the Word of God to be the truth, and something he could live by the rest of his life.

2nd – He trusts in Jesus Christ to be his Savior and Lord.

3rd – He promises to serve Him all the days of His life.

This was a great day for one of my best friends Frank and for me. Enjoy the video of his birthday baptism.

COVID-19 One Family’s Journey

10.18.20 – Sunday – Starting Week 2 - 1 week post hospital discharge.

We watched Live Oak Church’s services on Facebook today, and it was wonderful as always. Today, we had very good music from our praise band, and a great message by Dr. Mark Crosby. Shortly afterwards, our good friend Frank Sells came by and brought us lunch. Believe it or not, our friendship dates back nearly thirty years! We met working in the hospital at Our Lady of the Lake in the operating room in January of 1992. He has laid a challenge on me to get better so I can baptize him for his birthday on January 31, 2021. Take a look at the picture above. He is a big guy! I had better start working out and re-conditioning right away! What a great day to be with family and friends. I am definitely one blessed man.
